Company Profile:  in 1922, Roméo Chouinard founded 'Planchers Verdun' in Verdun located in the west end of Montreal, he employed his sons and other relatives teaching the family's trade, the seed secrets that shape and define the quality service we offer.

The company was passed on to Maurice Chouinard from 1961 to 1990, and then was passed on to Jean Chouinard in 1990. Jean started to expand offering our services in the Outaouais region and Ontario province. Jean Chouinard represents the third generation of the family business since he was eleven years old he's been working by his father and grand-father's side.

In 2003, Jean decided that the company needed a personalized name that reflected their philosophy and values this is how 'Royal Hardwood Floors' came into existence, we see nature as precious and trees as royalty!
